Prerequisites and preparation

This course does not teach BLS skills, interpretation of rhythm strips, or basic ACLS pharmacology. Thus all Students are required to complete the pre-test prior to class. A print-out of the pre-test results must be provided to the instructor prior to the beginning of class. Directions to complete the ACLS pre-test and online precourse modules will be available upon registration. Students who have not studied and prepared for this course will be rescheduled into another class to allow them adequate preparation for successful completion of the class.

Audience

ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units, Paramedics, Physicians, Physicians Assistants, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, etc.
